Warehouse Manager - Las Vegas

Our Las Vegas distribution centre ships thousands of orders daily to customers all over the world. We're searching for self-driven, highly motivated Warehouse Manager to join our team. Our organization is fast paced, growing, and highly successful in the cannabis retail space. As a Warehouse Manager, you will take pride, at owning and executing the inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures. The Warehouse Manager will accomplish effective logistical oversight through strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Do you have e-commerce experience, this would be the bonus/best skill set we are looking for along with the other skills as well!
  • Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the distribution facility.
  • Ensure all sales orders are accurately entered, packaged and shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Document and communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
  • Maintain strict control over inventory levels as per compliance requirements in order to meet reporting, internal and external audit accountabilities.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Take into account full implications of material flow, inventory turnover rates, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
  • Manage an annual operating budget for the facility and a plan to ensure efficiency and cost, to optimize profitability.
  • Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
  • Supervise a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and termination.
  • Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment.
  • Assess the needs of the facility and present for approval with ROI justification as required.
  • Monitor and report all inventory discrepancies and identify the cause, resolution and prevention. Ensure records are stringent to eliminate all variances.
  • Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
  • Supervise facility design, improvements, and services to manage the facility and costs.
  • Manage all facility Staff and ensure they meet all safety, compliance and performance expectations.   

Qualifications:

  • Focus on e-commerce, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, inventory control, or materials management.
  • 7 years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function or supply chain management position.

Attributes: 

  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA/Employment Standards/Scheduling compliance is an asset.
  • Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
  • Familiar with enterprise-level track-and-trace systems, as well as implementation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Sage X3, SCM systems, or any other ERP system as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills.
  • Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
  • Solid project and facility management skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
